This was the first time I've been to Word Alive and the second time I've been to Pontins in Prestatyn (Mobilise 2012 was there! I remembered the chalets and the chicken poppets every meal time!) I went into the week feeling a little nervous as it was new conference for us. I was really trusting that God would use the times of worship to help people rather than alienate people. We were praying a lot as a band that it wouldn't be a performance, that we would be able to serve the people there and that we'd grow in our walks with God during the week too.

I don't think I can remember an event where we've left feeling more built up and encouraged by the people. We had so many men and women saying how the songs and the way we led really helped them in their praise to God. We got to chat and pray with lots of people after the evening sessions too. One girl said to me that she'd never enjoyed singing to God before this week and God had really done something in her heart because now when she sings she cries happy tears knowing what Jesus has done for her! Yes!

​

The Bible teaching from Ray Ortland from Galatians was brilliant. It was all about us being justified by faith in Christ and his finished work on the cross.

​

One of the highlights of the week was getting to know Lou Fellingham and her team. I'd really commend Lou's new album "This Changes Everything"! It's brilliant. My favourite track off the album was the song she taught us at Word Alive "Final Say"
